Hudak
Wants to Return Ontario Tories To School Wars
He may not win the PC
leadership if his opposition were to coalesce behind Christine
Elliot MPP but for now Tim Hudak seems like the frontrunner. We can
hope he is running to the right to sow up the knuckle dragger
element that constitutes the majority in the Tory membership.
Hudak has that frat boy
image that Jim Coyle of the Toronto Star hung on him. This is
combined with that stupid ¡°I¡¯m all that¡± smirk that just wants
to make you slap that smirk around to the other side of his face.
The public sector
dominated by OPSEU and CUPE but including the teachers¡¯
federations and the nurses has noticed that Hudak is campaigning to
actually roll back the recent contracts negotiated in the public
sector. Of course politicians often think that business contracts
are sacred and cannot be changed whereas a labour agreement just
doesn¡¯t rise to this level for them.
Hudak, it seems didn¡¯t
get enough of the strikes, demonstrations, litigation, negative PR
campaigns, early retirements, teacher anger and demoralization, and
parent angst and anger directed at both sides quite frankly. He
wants school wars 2.0. He is sure out to make Dalton McGuinty look
good. Sigh.
